JUNIA BAGH
A Lakeside homestay...
Dating back to more than a century, JUNIA BAGH, the lakeside residence of the Thakurs of Junia, was built after 1890 during the reign of Thakur Kalyan Singh ji (Jodha) as a summer getaway for the royals. There are two Mahals built on the sprawling, green 8 acre property. The architecture of both Mahals is a mixture of colonial and Rajasthani style. Kalyan Mahal (Jal Mahal) is located on the banks of a perennial, artificial lake while the Mahal Kesar Kothi is the residence, which overlooks the lake and is built close to an ancient Bagh.
JUNIA BAGH and its owners invite you to the peace, quiet and tranquility of their beautiful home. Take the opportunity to enjoy the simple unspoilt natural beauty, restful days, gorgeous sunsets, romantic evenings, authentic home cooked meals and a winter bonfire. It's just the place to rejuvenate the mind and the body.
The best season to visit JUNIA BAGH is from October to March. We recommend a minimum of two nights stay.
Listen to the melody of the birds, watch peacocks wandering on the grounds, parrots amongst the trees, the water birds feeding at the lake and the busy owlets at night.
An ideal and safe getaway for families, couples and individual travellers.
